Our Story

The OT Wizard is a comprehensive and automated evaluation and reporting tool for pediatric occupational therapy practitioners. It significantly decreases evaluation collection and reporting time. The OT Wizard has reporting metrics to calculate progress from evaluations over time as well as the overall improvement of caseload based on chosen filters.

The O.T. Wizard was developed by an occupational therapist practice owner with 25 + years of working in private pediatric settings and in public and charter school settings.  After developing an evaluation prototype for her team of 50 OTP’s, the success, efficiency, and data-driven results brought the prototype to a web-based application.

Most standardized assessments that are used in the field of occupational therapy are created by non-occupational therapy practitioners.  The O.T. Wizard will change that by offering what our profession needs to efficiently evaluate a child for services.   No more buying response sheets, manuals, specific test kits, and paying each time you need to score an assessment. No more struggling to write up the results after already putting in an 8+hour day.   No more non-sense.

The O.T. Wizard is in development and expected with a roll out date of early 2024.

Bringing back the joy of being an OTP

According to recent questionnaires, it takes an OTP an average of 2-3 hours (sometimes more) to write up the narrative part of the evaluation. Both seasoned and non-seasoned OTP's feel frustrated or feel that there is not a consistent method for pediatric evaluations. Many therapists said that they do not get paid for the time that it takes to complete the evaluation narrative.
